This Maple Ridge SPCA was B.C.’s first LEED accredited animal shelter earning LEED Gold status. With over 75% of construction waste being diverted from the landfill, more than 22% of construction materials coming from recycled materials and 20% of total materials being sourced regionally. This 8,000 square foot animal shelter with a tenant space above began in March 2010 and completed March 2011.
